About Us

Established in 2021, African Rainbow Energy is an investment platform created by African Rainbow Energy and Power in partnership with Absa Bank.

Our vision is to build an African Energy Champion based in South Africa, harnessing top-tier skills, and technology to enhance the well-being and lives of Africans.

We aim to develop a scalable platform that offers investors predictable, growing returns from a clean energy portfolio, all while contributing to the improvement of lives across the continent.

Our investments span a diverse range of clean energy investments within both the commercial and industrial sectors (C&I), as well as participation in the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producers Programme (REIPPP). Currently, our portfolio consists of 1GW of projects, including 740MW from the REIPPP and 300MW from C&I projects.

African Rainbow Energy has investments in utility-scale renewable energy infrastructure diversified across key markets and technologies.
